2. What Data We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our service:
- Account information — your name and email address when you sign up
- Health goals — your current weight, goal weight, and calorie targets that you provide during onboarding
- Meal logs — the meal descriptions you enter and the AI analysis results
- Weight logs — weight entries you log over time to track your progress
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number
- Usage data — basic information about how you use the app to help us improve it
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used for one purpose and one purpose only: to make ZeroToHero work for you.
Specifically we use your data to:
- Provide personalized AI meal analysis and coaching based on your specific goals
- Display your progress, streaks, and milestones in the app
- Calculate your daily calorie and macro targets
- Send you account-related emails such as email verification and billing receipts
- Process your subscription payment through Stripe
- Provide customer support when you contact us
That is it. We do not use your data for anything else.
4. What We Will Never Do
We make the following absolute commitments to you:
- We will NEVER sell your personal data to any third party under any circumstances
- We will NEVER share your data with advertisers or allow your data to be used for advertising purposes
- We will NEVER use your health data to train AI models or for any research purpose without your explicit written consent
- We will NEVER send you marketing emails from third parties or share your email with anyone outside ZeroToHero
- We will NEVER rent or lease your data to any individual, company, or organization
- We will NEVER monetize your personal information in any way other than providing you with the ZeroToHero service you pay for
5. Third Parties We Work With
We work with a small number of trusted service providers strictly to operate ZeroToHero:
- Supabase — secure database and authentication hosting. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit
- Stripe — payment processing. They handle all card data. We never see your full card number
- Anthropic — AI analysis of your meal descriptions. Meal data sent for analysis is not stored or used to train their models under our agreement
- Vercel — website hosting
None of these providers are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. They process your data solely to provide their service to us.
6. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously:
- All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS
- All data is encrypted at rest in our database
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers
- Access to your data is restricted to only what is needed to provide the service
7. Your Rights
You have full control over your data:
- Access — you can view all your data at any time within the app
- Correction — you can update your personal information in Settings at any time
- Deletion — you can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@zerotoherofit.com
- Export — you can request a copy of all your data by emailing support@zerotoherofit.com
- Cancellation — you can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page with no questions asked
We will respond to all data requests within 30 days.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we will permanently delete all your personal data, meal logs, weight logs, and health information within 30 days.
We may retain anonymized, non-identifiable aggregate data such as total number of meals logged for statistical purposes. This data cannot be linked back to you in any way.
9. Children's Privacy
ZeroToHero is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account please contact us at support@zerotoherofit.com and we will delete the account immediately.
10. Changes To This Policy
If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We will never make changes that reduce your privacy protections without giving you the opportunity to review and accept them.
